Looks like there's a newline in the Doxygen comment for cleanup_string that was supposed to be printed literally as "\n" but got processed as a real newline.

I've changed the comment to be \\n and \\r, but it seems the 'makedox' command is missing, so Doxygen isn't getting rebuilt daily (last was April 17).

I'm moving this to Todo - Important.
