Care to be any more particular than "stuff"?

Houses in Hollow Bastion aren't easy to use. Mainly because order is subject to change.
The house in the SE corner of downtown Bastion changes its name all the time. Sometimes its "second cottage" other times "fifth cottage" or something. Worse is that the doors don't line up. The door to the fifth cottage may very well respond to 13.door. If the names of these things could be changed so that it would actually be stable, that would be great. The volcano buildings has been resolved, but it took an admin. (Aeao Store) Thankfully we never close or lock the doors because Aeao Store is 2.door, Store is 3.door, and shop is 1.door, so all of this is very confusing.

This has shown to still be an issue, and will only get worse as more people show up. I was talking to Acius about it, and he was considering the possibility of applying an adjective to a building when you create it, or he was considering the possibility of synonyms (shack:hovel, hut, cabana, etc.) Not sure which; one of us mentioned one each, but not the point.
I think an option to "name" a building when construction begins would be really nice. I also think the ability to rename a building you own would be superb. The names should come from a list of approved adjectives and synonyms, and should, possibly, include certain things specific about the builder, such as race, profession, national origin, etc. ("Teradoran cottage", "Dwarven smithy")
While Acius suggested not allowing the same adjective to be used more than once in a room, and I understand why (since this might reproduce the confusion already going on), I'm not sure that's a good idea. Once the adjective/synonym system was put in place, any areas where the confusion reappeared (Armorer's street happens to have 16 "Dwarven smithies" on it) would be appropriate, thematic, and... beautiful, IMHO. Buildings could then, if appropriate, get two tags--one with the descriptor or name (dwarven) and one for any sign they have (sword and steel). err... and one for their type, I suppose (smithy).
Okay, well, that's just my bit on this.
except... approved adjectives shouldn't include numbers. Row housing makes me nervous, and it'll most likely happen anyway if addresses come in. That, however, is a completely different subject.
