A variable splitter that allows individual variables to be separately tracked for all the objects packed into a quantity object. Would make stacking of items that decay a much happier proposition.

Although Al, take note: If you want poisoning to take effect regardless of whether it's stacked in a quantity object, you have to make it purely variable driven (no auxiliary objects). Probably stick code in /inherit/edible, and keep it simple (much memory consumption!)

I was planning on simple variable-based poison flags, yes.

Poisoned food and drink and weapons would have two indicators set on them, first would be the filename of the poison object in question (this allows for hallucinogens or whatever). The second is simply an indicator of strength.
